Completed in 1879, Brahms’ Hungarian Dances are among the composer’s most popular works. They consist in a set of 21 lively dance tunes based mostly on Hungarian themes. The dance N°3, originally written for piano duet, was orchestrated by Brahms himself.
This arrangement for Concert Band is adapted from the composer’s orchestration.
Contrasting from a light oboe melody, rhythmic low lines answering and a fast central theme, your audience will be charmed by this nice romantic page and the musicians excited to play it.
